McKinney, TX - (August 11, 2016) – It was a night of firsts in McKinney as the Charge took on the Bandits in rubber match of a three game set. Lauren Haeger faced just one batter over the minimum and threw the first no-hitter in Dallas Charge history, leading her team to a 5-0 victory. Both Brittany Schutte and Nadia Taylor hit their first home runs of the season. Schutte’s was the first in her NPF career. The win gave the Charge the series win over the Bandits and was the club’s 18th win, one more than last season’s total.[…]
McKinney, TX - (August 10, 2016) – Taylor Edwards homered and doubled, driving in three runs to lead the Chicago Bandits over the Dallas Charge 4-1. The Bandits win eliminated any chance for the Charge to reach the post season NPF Championship Series.[…]
McKinney, TX - (August 9, 2016) – The Charge overcame an early 3-0 deficit exploding for 10 runs in the fifth on their way to a 16-6 win over the Chicago Bandits. The Charge collected fourteen hits. Every Dallas starter reached had a hit, highlighted by Lauren Haeger and Kaitlyn Richardson. Haeger was three-for-four with two doubles and three RBI. Richardson homered and doubled, scoring three times. The win was the Charge's 17th, tying their inaugural season win total.[…]
The Pitcher of the Week award belongs to Dallas Charge pitcher Morgan Melloh. Melloh turned in a 2-0 record for the week while allowing just two unearned runs in 14 innings of work. Melloh struck out 15 batters and went the distance in both of her starts for the Charge.[…]
