Melloh is NPF Week 10 Pitcher of the Week

Nashville, TN (August 8, 2016) – For the fourth time this season, Kelly Kretschman has been named Offensive Player of the Week. The USSSA Pride outfielder hit for a league-best .600 AVG (6-10) this past week with one home run and five RBI. Kretschman added two doubles to her season total and slugged 1.100 for the week, another league best.

Akron Racers' rookie Sami Fagan earned the Rookie of the Week honor for the fourth time this year, as she was right on Kretschman’s heels with a .529 AVG (9-17). Fagan is second this season in average to Kretschman as well. Last week Fagan smashed two home runs, drove in five runs and scored five times. The rookie out of the University of Missouri slugged .941.

The Pitcher of the Week award belongs to Dallas Charge pitcher Morgan Melloh. Melloh turned in a 2-0 record for the week while allowing just two unearned runs in 14 innings of work. Melloh struck out 15 batters and went the distance in both of her starts for the Charge.
