Washington, PA (August 5, 2016) - Emma Johnson and Mandy Osias combined on a six-hitter for the Rebellion, as they won their final home game of the National Pro Fastpitch season Sunday, 5-2, over the Dallas Charge at Consol Energy Park.
The Charge could not make an early 2-1 lead hold up, giving up the advantage and three runs in the third inning. The Rebellion's Stacey Porter tied the score with a double, and Mandy Ogle had a run-scoring bunt that gave the Rebellion the edge. Ogle scored on a sacrifice fly to give the Rebellion a 4-2 edge.
The Charge took the lead in the second inning, stringing together four hits. Chelsea Forkin singled and stole second. Nadia Taylor singled her home. After a Danielle Henderson hit, Kaitlyn Richardson doubled home Taylor to put the Charge up 2-1. Dallas would not score again.
The Rebellion's Courtney Senas’ hit in the sixth inning drove in Chaley Brickey with the game’s final run.
Jill Compton took the loss for the Charge going just two innings. Allowing four runs on three hits.
Both teams stand at 16-28 overall on the season.
The Charge return home for the final six games of the season.
