Charge Win Split Series With Bandits

Rosemont, IL - (July 20, 2016) – The Charge took an early lead and held on Wednesday afternoon to beat the Bandits on the road 4-3, splitting the two game set.  Lauren Haeger picked up the win for the Charge, going five and one-third innings.  The second year star allowed three runs on five hits.  She walked four and fanned four.  Morgan Melloh got the save in relief, going the rest of the way without allowing a hit.

Taylor Gadbois collected three of the Charge eight hits.  The Missouri alum also scored and stole a base.  Kylee Lahners continued to hit for power recording her seventh home run of the season, a first inning two-run blast down the left field line.

The Bandits tied the back-and-forth affair in the bottom of the second inning at two.

In the third inning a double by Renada Davis and single from Haeger drove in two more runs, making it 4-2.  Those runs would prove to be enough.

The Charge raised their overall record to 11-20.  The fourth place Bandits moved to 16-19.  The Charge will take on the Scrap Yard Dawgs on the road on Friday night.
