Pride Score Early, Sweep Charge

Kansas City, KS - (July 14, 2016) – The Charge fell for the second night in a row at Community America Ballpark to the USSSA Pride, 7-1.  The Pride scored six runs in the bottom of the first to open the game up early.

The Pride’s Keilani Ricketts went the distance allowing just one run on four hits.  The Oklahoma alum fanned five and walked three.  She also hit a three run homer in the Pride’s six run outburst.

Jill Compton got the start for the Charge and lasted just one-third of an inning before giving way to Andi Williamson.

Shelby Pendley finished up the scoring for the Pride with a four inning sacrifice fly that made the score 7-0.

Vicky Galasso drove in the lone Charge run with a sixth inning double that plated Mikey Kenney who had reached via a walk.  

Kahley Novak collected two of the Charge four hits.

The Charge dropped to 9-17.  The first place Pride moved to 19-7.  The Charge will take on the Akron Racers on the road on Friday night.
