Pride Come From Behind To Beat Charge

Kansas City, KS - (July 13, 2016) – The Charge could not hold an early 3-0 lead and fell to the Pride 6-3 snapping a two game win streak.  Cheridan Hawkins got the start for the Charge going five and two-thirds innings.  She was responsible for all six runs on six hits.  Hawkins struck out four and walked four.

The Pride stopped their four skid with the victory.

Both the Charge and Pride mustered seven hits.  The Charge scored all three runs in the first inning off of Pride starter Kelsey Nunley.  Five hits, all singles, did the trick for Dallas as they took an early 3-0 lead.

In the bottom of the second inning the Pride struck back scoring two.

Nunley continued to struggle and in the third inning with bases loaded and no outs she gave way to Hannah Rogers who quickly put out the fire, earning two strike outs and a popup to get the Pride out of trouble.

A solo HR from the 2016 NPF MPV Kelly Kretchsman tied the game at three in the fifth.  In the bottom of the sixth the game got away from the Charge, allowing three runs on three hits, making the final score 6-3.

The Charge dropped to 9-16.  The first place Pride won for the first time in five games, moving to 18-7.  The two teams will face off again in Kansas City on July 14.
