Charge Lose One Run Battle With Team USA

Oklahoma City, OK - (June 16, 2016) – The Charge fell down early to Team USA in exhibition action Thursday afternoon, but battled back to turn what looked to be a blowout into a one run ball game.  The game ended with the tying run in scoring position.  Team USA prevailed 8-7.

Team USA scored one in the first, three in the fourth and four in fifth to open an 8-0 lead.  In top of six the Charge responded with six runs.  Doubles by Renada Davis, Chelsea Forkin and Vicky Galasso sandwiched around three walks and a hit batter got the Charge back into the game and made the score 8-6.

The Charged added one on an RBI double to left by Brianna Cherry.  She knocked in Mike Kenney who had started the inning off with a two-bagger.  With the tying run at second and go ahead run at first, Kaitlyn Richardson lined a rocket into right field that was right at a defender, ending the contest.

Dallas will take on Team USA again Friday at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch at 7pm.  That game will follow Team USA’s battle with the Scrap Yard Dawgs at 4pm.
