McKinney, TX – June 13, 2016 - The Dallas Charge are excited to announce the second season home opener series! The Charge kick-off a home series against the USSSA Pride on Tuesday, June 14th and Wednesday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m. at the Ballfields at Craig Ranch in McKinney. Fans of all ages are welcome and encouraged to come out and support DFW’s premiere softball team. There will be family friendly entertainment, activities for kids and seven innings of action-packed softball!
After finishing up a strong inaugural campaign with 16 wins and an NPF Championship Series semi-final appearance, the Charge look to take the next step as a franchise by expanding the fan base, establishing a fun, family environment and competing for a Cowles Cup. The Charge are expecting an exciting season featuring new players, a revamped coaching staff, exhibition games against Team USA, 18 home game promotions and games featured on CBS Sports Network.
The home opener on Tuesday, June 14th will be “Teachers in Bleachers Night” where any teacher who shows their badge at the box office will receive one free ticket! We want to show teachers our appreciation for their commitment and dedication to our youth, their future and the community’s future.
The following game on the 15th will be featured as Winning Inning Wednesday. The Charge will designate a specific occurrence during each inning. If the event occurs during that inning, one lucky fan will win a prize. Fans must sign up at the Dallas Charge promo table to be eligible to win.
On June 17th the Charge will host an exhibition game featuring Team USA. This will be the second game of a three game exhibition series, the first being played June 16th at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. The Scrap Yard Dawgs vs. Team USA at 4PM and Dallas Charge vs. Team USA at 7PM. One ticket required for both games. Both games will be featured as College Night where all fans are encouraged to wear apparel or colors of their alma mater or their favorite school.
