Rosemont, IL - (June 10, 2016) – The Dallas Charge got a series win against the Chicago Bandits for the first time in club history with a 6-5 victory Friday night. Lauren Haeger hit a three-run homer in a five-run Charge third inning that helped propel Dallas to its third win of the season. Kylee Lahners hit a solo bomb in the sixth, her third of the season. Jill Compton picked up her second win in the circle going five innings, allowing two runs on six hits.
Trailing 2-0 in the top of the third, Danielle Henderson got things going. She hit a one-out double to left followed by an infield single from Caitlin Attfield and walk to leadoff hitter Taylor Gadbois. With bases load, Renada Davis doubled to right, driving in two. Haeger gave the Charge the lead with laser over the left field fence, her first of the season.
Heager came in in relief in the sixth up 6-2, doing just enough to secure the win. A two-run homer in the bottom of sixth and an unearned run in the seven were not enough for Chicago and The Charge escaped thanks to the Lahners sixth inning long ball.
Dallas improved to 3-2 on the season. Chicago fell to 4-2. The Charge will travel to Akron for two games against the one-loss Racers.
