Charge Sign 2016 Draft Pick Taylor Gadbois

McKinney, TX – June 8, 2016 –  The Dallas Charge have signed Missouri’s Taylor Gadbois to a three-year deal.  The speedy outfielder was selected by the Charge in the third round of this year’s NPF draft.  The 15th overall pick was a NFCA All-American in 2014 and was named ALL-SEC and NFCA All-Region in 2016.

“When I heard my name be called for the 2016 NPF draft I thought all my dreams had come true,” Gadbois said.  “Now that I get to call Dallas home for next few months I realized that the next chapter in my life has officially began and I am so proud to wear blue and green this season. Tonight will be my first game in a Dallas Charge uniform and I cannot wait to take the field tonight with my new teammates."

The Maryville, Missouri native led her highly ranked squad in hits (74) and stolen bases (56).  2016 marked the third straight season the 2014 NFCA Golden Shoe Award winner stole 40+ bags.  She hit .396 this year, third best on her team.

Charge General Manager Kevin Shelton remarked, “It is great to add Taylor’s talent and speed to our roster.  She joins a group of quality defenders.  Taylor has excelled at the highest levels of the college game which should help her quickly make the transition to the NPF.  She plays with the kind of energy that makes the game fun to watch.  I look forward to seeing her patrol the Charge outfield and burn up the base paths.  Our fans will like her.”
