Charge Drop Second Game of Series to Rebellion

Lancaster, PA - (June 4, 2016) - The Pennsylvania Rebellion and the Dallas Charge played in the second game of a two game series today at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, PA. The Rebellion were able to earn a split of the series with a victory today when they trounced Dallas by a final score of 15-1.

After each team was set down in order in the 1st inning, the scoring started in the bottom of the 2nd when Rookie Short Stop Chaley Brickey’s sacrifice fly pushed across the first run of the game and gave the Rebellion a 1-0 lead.

The Rebellion offense exploded in the 3rd inning when they scored seven runs and sent ten batters to the plate.

Dallas got on the board in the top of the 4th when Left Fielder Kylee Lahners hit a solo home run, her first of the young season.

The Rebellion kept the hot hitting going in the bottom of the 4th by plating five more runs.

Pitcher Miranda Kramer led the Rebellion in the circle with her strong effort this afternoon. She tossed five innings while allowing just one run on five hits and striking out seven in the win. Pitcher Emma Johnson came in to pitch the 6th and 7th and allowed just one base runner in two scoreless frames.

The Charge’s Andi Williamson (0-1) took the loss in the circle allowing six runs in two innings, five earned.
