Galasso Signs With Charge

McKinney, TX – February 17, 2016 – The Dallas Charge have signed Vicky Galasso for the 2016/2017 seasons.  The second year player hit .205 with three home runs last season in 18 games with the Chicago Bandits.  The Idaho State catcher had back-to-back 20 home run seasons with the Bengals and batted over .300 in each of her four years. In 2015, she was Most Valuable Player in the Big Sky Conference.  She was the first-ever Big Sky Conference Player of the Year in 2013.

"I am so excited for the opportunity to continue my softball career with the Dallas Charge! I’m thankful to the Charge for the amazing opportunity and I look forward to contributing to this organization. I can't want until this summer," said Galasso.

Galasso still owns four single season records at Idaho St., including home runs, RBI and walks.  Additionally, she is the career record holder in eight offensive categories like homers, runs scored, hits, doubles and RBI.

“We are pleased to add a player with Vicky’s pedigree, power and versatility,” said Charge General Manager, Kevin Shelton.  “She fits our team well.  Vicky can play multiple positions, is athletic and hits for power.  She provides us needed depth behind the plate and helps round out our pre-draft roster.”
