Charge Trade Draft Picks With Bandits

McKinney, TX - February 8, 2016 - The Dallas Charge announced today that they have completed a trade of draft picks with the Chicago Bandits. The Charge acquired the Bandits sixth round pick in the upcoming draft.  They dealt their 2017 sixth round pick to Chicago.

The move gives the Charge four picks in this years draft. In addition to the sixth round pick the second year team has selections in the second, third and fifth rounds.  The Charge traded their 2016 first round pick for the fourth pick overall in 2015.  This year's fourth round pick was traded last year for catcher Kaylyn Castillo.

Dallas Charge General Manager, Kevin Shelton, explained, "The move was a good fit for both teams.  Though we had a solid start in 2015, we need to continue to work and build on that success.  The draft is an important way to do that.  Adding another pick this year will help us optimzie the necessary versatility and flexibility."
