Dallas Charge Samaritan Inn Drive

On Friday, June 19, the Charge will be taking on the Pennsylvania Rebellion on our “Feed the Fam” night. On this night, we will be hosting a food and necessities drive to benefit The Samaritan Inn. After facing the USSSA Pride, the Dallas Charge is excited to host the Rebellion in a rematch of our first series of the season!

Some items that The Samaritan Inn is currently in need of are:

  • Wash cloths
  • Tissues
  • All purpose cleaner
  • Individually wrapped snacks for sack lunches

Itinerary:

5:00 pm – Gates Open

7:00 pm – Game vs. Rebellion will begin

About The Samaritan Inn

The Samaritan Inn is a non-profit organization that provides professional resources to those who were once homeless to help them become self-sufficient. Through donations they are able to help people experiencing homelessness regain their dignity and independence. The Samaritan Inn provides a no-cost, safe and clean place to live. They serve 3 well balanced meals daily, provide personal hygiene products, free laundry, haircuts, over the counter medicines, and vouchers for needed items and services. Day care and transportation vouchers are also available. Residents attend a variety of classes and meet one-on-one with their professional caseworker to develop an individualized action plan and goals for their success.

The Dallas Charge will begin competition in the National Pro Fastpitch league in 2015. The Charge will provide elite softball players the opportunity to pursue a professional career and inspire the next generation of professionals. Located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the Charge organization and its players are committed to demonstrating leadership in community involvement, entertainment, and professionalism.

National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. The league, created to give elite female fastpitch players the opportunity to pursue a professional career in their chosen sport, has operated since 1997 under the names of Women’s Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women’s Pro Softball League (WPSL). NPF is the Official Development Partner of Major League Baseball in the category of women’s fastpitch softball and has been since 2002.
