In their inaugural season, the Charge will host six home series in the state of Texas which will be divided between two locations in McKinney and Arlington. In total, 18 Charge home games will be played in the Dallas metroplex. All four of the other NPF teams will make at least one visit to Texas. Additionally, the Charge will play an away series in Texas versus the USSSA Pride who will host the Charge August 3-4 in the Houston area and August 5-6 in San Antonio. Following those two series, the Charge will host the Bandits in their final series at home from August 9-11.
One designated Charge home series will be played in Colorado from June 29-July 2 during one of softball’s largest youth tournaments. Every year Triple Crown Sports hosts youth tournaments from ages 12-18 throughout the Denver metro area. As part of this year’s tournament, the Charge will host the Akron Racers in the areas around Westminster, Boulder, and Aurora. Details about specific locations will be announced at a later date.
”We are excited about the upcoming season! We have a great opening set of games to help us really engage our fans and prime them for the summer. I’m pleased that we have a nice mix of games around the country including those in Houston, San Antonio and Colorado. Our series around the Denver area is an effort to export the pro game into markets where the NPF has not gone before. Hopefully, this will energize a whole new set of NPF and Dallas Charge fans,” said Charge General Manager Kevin Shelton.
