Bio:
Aaron Weintraub began his coaching career in baseball at his alma mater, Emory University in 1994. He moved on to Presbyterian College in South Carolina in 1995 and Brevard College in North Carolina the next two years. Each of these programs had successful enough campaigns while he was there to set a school record for wins. From 1998-2000, Weintraub was an assistant coach and graduate student at Thomas Jefferson's University of Virginia. He was also the head coach of the New Market Rebels in the Shenandoah Valley League during the summer. Upon graduating with a degree in Motor Learning and an emphasis in Sport Psychology, he returned to Emory in 2001. That team won 24 straight games and achieved Emory's first ever #1 national ranking. From 2002-2006, Weintraub moved to Dallas to coach at Cedar Valley College. This program went from single-digit wins the year before his arrival to national top 10 rankings in 2004, 2005, and 2006. During these 13 years as an assistant coach, Weintraub was responsible for coaching, at different times, every position on the field, hitters, and first base. He was also the recruiting coordinator at Cedar Valley and Emory. Weintraub has coached over 100 baseball players who went on to play professionally and several who have played in the big leagues, including Javier Lopez, Brandon Belt, and Paul Goldschmidt.
In 2006, Weintraub started CoachTraub.com, a consulting practice whose mission is to over-deliver value on goods and services designed to help you and yours W.I.N. the mental side of the game. He has consulted for teams at Ole Miss, Ga Tech, Arizona, UTA, Baylor, Houston, UCF, LA Tech, and many others. He has spoken about leadership and mental toughness for the Positive Coaching Alliance, the NFCA, the ABCA, the THSBCA, and several other coaching events. He also works with select teams such as Texas Glory and the Dallas Mustangs. Weintraub is also the author of Leadership Training for Softball. Weintraub is married to the former Nicole Edwards. The couple has 4 children, Christopher, Ariel, Carissa, and Gregory, and is expecting another in September. They live in The Colony, TX.
